Starr Garrett is the Director of the Theatre Program and an Associate Professor with Campbellsville University. She regularly teaches Directing and Design. Ms. Garrett holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Palm Beach, FL, a MA in Communication with an emphasis in Acting and Directing for Theatre from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art with a focus on Costuming and Social Implication from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT. She has been recognized for excellence in directing and design by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, is active with the Southeastern Theatre Conference. Selected directing credits include Red, Antigone, Little Women, How to Succeed…, and All  My Sons. Selected design credits include Swing!, Hamlet, Drowsy Chaperone, and Twelfth Night.

Ms. Garrett is passionate about bringing theatre to the community around CU and works with TownHall Productions, a local production company, to bring a wide range of theatre to the area. This work includes the development of a youth theatre training program, the Creative Spirit Theatre Academy.
