CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.—Erin Grimsley, a Campbellsville University senior of Elizabethtown, Ky., has work on display in an art exhibit through Friday, April 12. The art exhibit takes place in the Pence-Chowning Art Gallery, located on the campus of Campbellsville University at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville.

Grimsley is a 2009 graduate of Grace Baptist Academy, and is scheduled to graduate from Campbellsville University in July 2013 with a major in art and a minor in international studies.

She is the second of five children born, and is the daughter of Scott and Robin Grimsley.

Grimsley’s past art displays include the Grace Baptist Academy Annual Student Show in 2009 and the CU Annual Juried Art Show in 2010 through 2012, where in 2010 she was awarded first place for her sculpture and in 2012 was awarded second place for her drawing.

Grimsley said, “Despite my focal point almost always being a person, there is beauty to be appreciated in one’s surroundings.”

She said, “My pencil captures what I love. My camera captures what I see. And my typography captures my abstract thought.”

Campbellsville University is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 3,600 students offering 63 undergraduate options, 17 master’s degrees, five postgraduate areas and eight pre-professional programs. The website for complete information is campbellsville.edu.
