CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.— Campbellsville University’s School of Music will host guest organ recitalist Dr. John A. Deaver Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 12:20 p.m. in the Ransdell Chapel, located on the campus of Campbellsville University at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Deaver will perform works by Jean Langlais and Cesar Franck.
The public is invited to the event which is free of charge.
Deaver has served as director of music and organist at Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, Ky. since September 1980 and the Convent of the Transfiguration in Glendale, Ohio since October 1981.
He has also served as adjunct assistant professor of organ at the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati, teaching organ repertoire this year. He is also involved in the Cincinnati Chapter of American Guild of Organist, the Association of Anglican Musicians and the Anglican Musicians Foundations.
Deaver, in recent years, has played in master classes of Oliver Latry, Jean-Baptiste Robin, Harald Vogel, Margaret Phillips. Ewald Kooiman, and Loic Mallie at the Haarlem Summer Organ Academy.
Deaver holds degrees from Davidson College, Peabody Conservatory of Music of John Hopkins University, and the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati.
