ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT MAJOR

The major/area in Organizational Management (OM)is a degree-completion program for non-traditional "adult" learners to be offered in the evening and is an extension program of the University. Coupled with the general education program of the University, it is intended to lead to a Bachelor of Science Degree. Extensive reading and writing assignments are required between class meetings.

Students are expected to progress as a group from one module to the next, with courses offered in succession.

An "Experiential Learning" portfolio program (see course description EL 480) may be used in conjunction with the OM program. The program is designed with enough flexibility to meet the needs of students with a minor concentration from an Associate degree, or by a combination of transfer and additional courses, if not using the Experiential Learning program. Students who graduate from the OM program are required to meet the current general education requirements of the University, in keeping with the liberal arts philosophy of all our programs.

The OM program is a more general, non-traditional version of the major in Business Administration, applicable to executives, administrators, and decision-makers in many types of organizations. Each course has a final examination in addition to other evaluation of student work such as papers assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (without condition):
  1. Completion of 60 semester hours of approved college-level credit (transcript required).
  2. Attainment of a 2.25 GPA overall in previous college-level work.
  3. Completion of English 111, 112, and Math 111, or equivalents, with "C" grade or better in each.
  4. Age 23 or older.

REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION: ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
  1. Completion of at least 128 semester hours of credit, including 42 or more upper level hours.
  2. Completion of the Organizational Management area, which also satisfies the requirements for a minor.
  3. Attainment of a 2.25 GPA cumulative, both in OM major and overall.
  4. Meet all "General Requirements for Graduation," in the current Campbellsville University Bulletin-Catalog. The Convocation requirement is not applicable to the Organizational Management program, since it is an evening and extension program only. Requirements include the general education requirements of the University, including applicable transfer credits.
  5. Payment of all tuition and fees.
