Master of Business Administration MBA

The goal of the MBA program is to prepare students to play a leadership role in the rapidly changing, technologically advanced global marketplace. classes take place weekends and online.

This degree serves the needs of those who have recently graduated with a bachelor's degree, as well as practicing professionals who want to further their educations to enhance their careers while contributing to their companies and to society as a whole.

Students will take 36 hours of 600-level coursework to complete the MBA - 27 hours of core coursework and 9 hours of electives. Each course is three credit hours.

Courses are offered on a trimester basis of three trimesters each academic year. Six hours of coursework per trimester is a full load. Special permission is required to register for more than six hours per trimester.

Trimester 1 begins mid-to-late September and ends in mid-November; Trimester 2 begins in mid-January and ends in mid-March; and trimester 3 begins in late March and ends in late May. MBA courses are offered on weekends and online.

Corporate Sponsorship

Campbellsville University will work with corporations that wish to reimburse employees for tuition and fees incurred during coursework toward the MBA degree. Payment may be deferred, and VISA and MasterCard are accepted.

Campbellsville University is accredited by the Commission on colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges (1865 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia, phone: 404.679.4501) to award the associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees.

Students who do not have an undergraduate degree in a business field may fulfill the requirements for admission to the MBA program by taking appropriate foundation courses from the list below:

Admission to the Program

  1. Admission to Graduate Studies
  2. A bachelor's degree with an acceptable grade point average from a regionally accredited four-year college or university
  3. An acceptable score on the Miller Analogies Test, the GMAT or GRE, taken within the last five years
  4. An official transcript from your baccalaureate degree, which must be mailed directly to the Office of Admissions from the registrar's office of the college or university that granted the degree. Official transcripts must be submitted from all institutions from which you have received credit for work completed toward your bachelor's degree
  5. A completed application form with the non-refundable application fee of $25. The fee may be paid by check or credit card
  6. A resume that includes education and work history, along with a typewritten professional goals statement
  7. Two letters of reference

Additional requirements for International Applicants

  • International applicants whose primary language is not english and who are not graduate of a college or university in the U.S. must submit a score of 550 (paper) on the TEST of English as a Foreign Language
  • An official, independent evaluation of academic work completed at foreign institutions must be sent to the Office of Admissions from world Education Services
  • International students who do not hold a U.S. permanent resident visa (green card) must submit evidence of financial support before an I-20 form can be processed

Candidates in the process of completing admission requirements may be accepted under probationary status for up to six hours of credit or one trimester at the discretion of Campbellsville University.
