Wellness Center
The Department of Health Promotion, Human Performance, and Leisure Studies has developed a Wellness Center. Each semester a newsletter is published with current issues summarized. The Center has eight stations of Paramount weight training equipment, treadmill, stationary bicycle, various weight dumbbells, and a stepper. Student majors are offered opportunities to gain experiences in personal training, exercise leadership, health fitness evaluations (body composition, blood pressure, etc.). Use of the WCTR requires a small membership fee for students; there is no charge for faculty, staff, and their spouses. Health Fitness evaluations are also available.
