When a private, church-related university grows 150 percent during the past decade and is named among America’s “Best Colleges” by magazines such as Newsweek, Money and US News & World Report - as has happened at Campbellsville University - it's obvious to our alumni, parents, friends, denomination, and community, as well to leading philanthropic foundations and corporations, something extraordinary is happening.
Just what is happening at this dynamic university in Central Kentucky? As our president, Dr. Michael Carter, so aptly puts it, “God is using Campbellsville University to prepare servant leaders for the 21st century.”
And it's true. You can see God in the lives of the nearly 1,600 students and in the faculty and staff who call Campbellsville University home. This spirit of family, togetherness, and unity is the very fabric, the underlying foundation, that has endeared people to Campbellsville University since its founding in 1906.
Each person here, each program, is woven together. The fibers of harmony, caring and quality have been sewn - strong - to form one of the warmest, most unique and energetic Christian university campuses in the United States.
Now we are calling on those among you who believe in the mission and scope of Campbellsville University as we seek to raise $500,000 for student scholarships. May we count on your financial support today?
With your gift, Campbellsville University can provide even more funds for scholarships to those who wish to attend an institution where we say there is “Joy in Serving and Learning”
This year, Campbellsville University will administer more than $4 million of its own resources to provide financial assistance to deserving, qualified students wishing to receive one of the South's finest experiences in Christian higher education.
It's our contention that Kentucky, the nation and the world need, more than ever before, well educated,Christian leaders who can and will impact the world in a positive way. We're certain you agree with that as well.
But to ensure the kind of education and life-changing experiences these students must have during their journey with us at Campbellsville University, we must have the financial support from persons who put others' well-being before themselves. We must look to those few among the crowd who want to make a difference in the lives of those students who enter Campbellsville University.
