Betty Conover

 

During the four seasons Betty played for the Lady Tigers, Campbellsville won 85 games and lost 29.   She is the all-time leading scorer with 2,338 points (21.5 average).   Betty held the record for all-time leading rebounder with 1,334 (131 average) until 2003. She scored in double figures 104 out of 109 games. During her career, Betty's field goal average was f 59.5 %. She was selected to the KWIC All-Tournament Team   in 1978, 79 and 81, the AIAW All-Regional and All-Tournament teams in 1980, 81, and was named an AWSF All-American in 1981.   Betty was contacted by the women's professional team Dallas Diamonds, but turned down their offer. While at Campbellsville, she was active in BSU and with mission groups.   A smiling face was her trademark as well as her baseline jump-hook.   Betty now teaches at James T. Alton Middle School.
