Dr.
Ralph Gardner
Dr. Ralph A. Gardner graduated from Campbellsville Junior College in 1930. Gardner
played on the football and basketball teams while at the college. Gardner completed
his bachelor's degree at the University of Kentucky in 1935. Gardner taught
physics and served as assistant basketball coach at Midway High School. While
completing his master's degree at the University of Kentucky in 1937. He finished
his PhD. in 1943 through a fellowship at Duke University. Gardner was in active
duty with the United States Naval Reserve from 1943 to 1946.
In 1971, Gardner set up a private counseling practice from which he retired in 1986. Gardner and his wife, Darlene live in Jamestown, Kentucky. They have four children. Pat Kooma, Sara Vogal, Andy Gardner, Bill Gardner and nine grandchildren
