Dr. Wendell Sadler

BS ~ Physical Education

Dr. Wendell C. Sadler graduated from Campbellsville College in 1976 with a BS degree in Physical Education. He was also the college tennis team's most valuable player. In 1973, he was named "Rookie of the Year" for the Campbellsville College Tennis Team. He was the team captain in 1976.

While at Campbellsville College, Sadler was president of the junior class, vice-president of the senior class and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Sadler played and won at all single and double positions during his tennis career at Campbellsville College. He won approximately 60% of his career singles matches for the College and 70% of his career doubles for the College.

Dr. Ronnie Smith, who was Dr. Sadler's coach at Campbellsville had the following comment. "Dr. Sadler is one of the finest Christian people on earth. He is a real person who is honest, dependable, conscientious, hard working and committed to integrity. He is a family man and a church man."

Sadler has coached tennis and taught in several high schools and colleges in a career that spans 18 years. He has been at Tarleton State University in Stephensville, Texas since 1993 where he is chair of the Department of Health and Physical Education and assistant professor of Physical Education. He is married to Donna Elaine Sadler and has two children. Kendall Elaine and Garrett Lee Sadler.
