Mr. Billy V. Wise

Mr. Billy V. Wise attended Campbellsville College from 1950 to 1952 and earned an Associated Degree in Physical Education and Science. While Mr. Wise played both basketball and baseball during his tenure at Campbellsville College it is his basketball accomplishments that are truly outstanding. His achievements include serving as co-captain of the team, begin a two-time participant in the national Junior College Tournament and begin selected to the All-State team. In addition, Mr. Wise played a vital role on the Campbellsville College team which led the nation in scoring.

Upon graduation from Campbellsville College Mr.. Wise served for two years in the United State Army before completing his college educational at Transylvania University where he also excelled in basketball and baseball. Mr. Wise graduated from Transylvania University in 1957 and did graduate work in physical education at the University of Kentucky in 1957 through 1958. In addition to graduate studies, in 1957 Mr. Wise accepted a position as Athletic Director with the Lexington Kentucky Parks Department, a position which he held for twelve years. In 1969 Mr. Wise accepted a position as Assistant Commissioner with the Kentucky High School Association and on the course of twenty-five years of service he rose tot he level of Commissioner of the KHSAA before his retirement in 1994. Billy V. Wise is married to Bonnie Goodan Wise and they have three children, Stephen, Gary and Melissa.
