Campbellsville University Baseball 2007 Mid-South Conference Regular Season CHAMPIONS 2007 Mid-South Conference Tournament CHAMPIONS
Tiger Baseball has established itself as a competitive program in conference play and one that graduates a high percentage of roster members. During Beauford Sanders 17 Years at the helm, 85% of players reaching senior status have graduated! The teams overall cumulative GPA is regularly at or above 3.0 each semester. The program has become a perennial contender in the Mid-South Conference, having won 8 Mid-South Conference and KIAC Regular Season or Tournament Championships since 1990 and qualifying 10 times since 1990 for NAIA Region XI play. Last year the team went 38-14 and won both the Mid-South Conference Tournament Title. It appears the tradition continues academically and athletically for the Tiger team members. The staff continues to strive for excellence and success! As a coaching staff we have four chief cornerstones that form our foundation from which we build and work. We endeavor to incorporate these four into our thinking and decision making processes. These four are:
Spiritual Aspects: Through team devotions, service projects, F.C.A., etc. individuals can grow and experience God’s love and wisdom and develop a personal relationship. Educational Aspects: Our desire is that every young man participating in the Campbellsville University baseball program graduate with a degree. Education is your socioeconomic vehicle that will transport you throughout your future! Our players will be students first and academics will take precedence over baseball. Social Aspects: We are interested in promoting character development on and off the field. Developing a sense of values and understanding the importance of assuming self-responsibility for actions and deeds are components of a winner. Baseball Aspect: Our team goal each year is to become Mid-South Conference Baseball Champions. We will endeavor to recruit the best possible student-athlete and ask them to make a commitment to one another and our standards. We will always emphasize the team over individuals and expect 100% effort mentally and physically.
