Ginger Colvin begins her first year as Head Women's Basketball Coach at Campbellsville University in the 2007-08 season but she is no stranger to Lady Tiger Basketball and it's fans.

Colvin, who has been an assistant coach to former Hall of Fame Head Coach Donna Wise for 17 years was a star performer for the Lady Tigers on the court  as a Third Team NAIA All-American in 1990.  She played for the Lady Tigers from 1986-1990.

The Tompkinsville, Kentucky native began her coaching career as a Graduate Assistant for Campbellsville after graduating in 1990.  She became a part-time assistant coach from 1991 to 2003.

In 1997 she took over the reigns of the Campbellsville High School Lady Eagle basketball program that had struggled to find wins for the previous several seasons.  Colvin's turnaround of the Lady Eagle program was nothing short of remarkable.  In seven seasons there, she produced five winning records, including three twenty plus win seasons and three 5th Region All A Championships.    Under Colvin's guidance the Lady Eagles won their first two 20th District Championships in school history and were 5th Region Runners-up one time.

During the same time that she was the full-time head coach of the Lady Eagles team, she continued as a part-time coach at Campbellsville University and in 2003 made the decision to become the full time Assistant Coach for the Lady Tigers.

Besides receiving Third Team All-American Honors during her playing career, Colvin was the KIAC (Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Player of the Year in 1990.  She currently holds the record in the NAIA for Most Assists in a game, season and career and is one of only three Lady Tiger players to ever be selected for four consecutive seasons as an All-Conference performer.  Coach Colvin is also a member of the Campbellsville University Lady Tigers 1,000 point club and the Campbellsville University Hall of Fame.

She and her husband, Robert, reside in Campbellsville with their son, Coby.
