TIGERS ROLL TO SEVENTH STRAIGHT WIN IN 83-64 TRIUMPH OVER ASBURY

Campbellsville,  KY -  All five starters scored in double digits as 11th ranked Campbellsville built a 28 point lead in the second half and defeated Asbury College (6-3) 83-64 tonight in the Powell Athletic Center.

Bubba Long (SR/Owensboro, KY) led all scorers with 18 points in the game while Kyle Martin (JR/Elizabethtown, KY) added 14 points, Troy Harris (JR/Georgetown, KY) and Nestor Colmenares (JR/Caracas, Venezuela) tossed in 11 points a piece.   Campbellsville’s fifth starter, Marcus Nicks (JR/Ellicott City, MD) had ten points as Campbellsville improved to 10-2.

The Tigers had 32 defensive rebounds and held the visiting Eagles to just 4 offensive rebounds and Campbellsville had 22 assists in the game.

The Tigers have now won seven straight games and play at Berea College on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. in the final game of the 2007 KIAC/MSC Classic.
