LADY TIGERS CLAW BACK FROM TWENTY POINT DEFICIT BUT LOSE 85-74 TO LAMBUTH
Campbellsville, KY – Lambuth’s Lady Eagles used an 18-3 run to end the first half and never looked back in an 85-74 win today in the Citizens Bank Classic.
The Lady Eagles would take their largest lead, 46-26 at the start of the second half, and Campbellsville managed to claw within 8 points at 74-66 with 2:47 remaining when Courtney Danis’ two point basket pulled the Lady Tigers within single digits. But the Lady Eagles would outscore Campbellsville 11 to 8 over the final two minutes of the game to improve to 7-4 while Campbellsville fell to 6-5.
Campbellsville was led by Courtney Danis’ 20 points while Priscila Alveas and Kristi Ensminger had 18 and 10 respectively. Lambuth was led by Yolanda Johnson’s 37 points.
The Lady Tigers host Dillard and Harris-Stowe in the Holiday Inn Express Holiday Hoops Classic on December 18th and 19th.
