TIGER MEN IMPROVE TO 7-2 WITH 82-48 WIN OVER SPALDING
Campbellsville, Kentucky - Eleventh ranked Campbellsville improved to 7-2 on the season with an 82-48 home court win over Spalding University tonight in the Powell Athletic Center.
It took the Tigers a big part of the first half to get on track as Spalding led 6-4 with 16:07 remaining in the half. However, Campbellsville would go on a 25-10 run over the next ten minutes to stretch the lead to 29-16 at the 5:39 mark. The Tigers would end the half with a 13-7 run to have their largest lead of the half, 43-23 at halftime after shooting 54.8% from the floor.
The Tigers continued to roll in the second half, as Spalding would never get closer than within 18 points and Campbellsville coasted to the big win 82-48.
All fourteen Tiger players scored in the game led by Bubba Long (SR/Owensboro) with 13 points, Clinton Joshua (SR/Jennings, Antigua) with 12 points and Nestor Colmenares (JR/Caracas, Venezuela) along with Troy Harris (JR/Georgetown, KY) both scoring 11 points each.
Campbellsville shot 52.5% from the floor for the game and had only 18 assists versus 6 turnovers.
The Tigers travel to Warsaw, Kentucky to play Urbana University (OH) on Friday at Gallatin County High School. Tip-off has been moved up back hour and will be at 7:00 p.m.
