TIGER WRESTLING DROPS TO 7th IN NAIA RATINGS DUE TO TOUGH SCHEDULE AND SEVERAL KEY INJURIES

Campbellsville, KY – The Campbellsville Tiger Wrestling team fell from 1st to 7th in the latest NAIA Ratings that were released today.

Campbellsville has wrestled against several NCAA Division II and NCAA Division I opponents and has been without defending National Champion Zach Flake and several other key wrestlers who are battling injuries.

Lindenwood (Missouri) moved to the top of the list followed by McKendree, Great Falls (Mont), Dana (Neb), Oklahoma City, Dickinson State (ND), Campbellsville, Southern Oregon, Embry-Riddle (AZ) and Missouri Valley rounding out the top ten.

The Tigers have several wrestlers ranked in the top ten of their respective weight classes.  Jacob Murton is ranked 2nd in the 141# division; Zach Flake is ranked 2nd in the 149# division; Dallas Hesseltine is ranked 5th in the 165# division; Chris Branam is ranked 7th in the 174# division and Glen Jackson is ranked 3rd in the 197# division.

The Tigers are scheduled to wrestle Cumberland University, ranked 13th in the latest ratings, on December 5th.
