POSITION: Admissions Marketing Specialist
REPORTS TO: VP of Admissions/Student Services
AREA: Admissions
STATUS: Full-time

SUMMARY:

The Admissions Marketing Specialist serves on the professional staff of Campbellsville University’s Office of Admissions and will be under the supervision of the VP of Admissions/Student Services. The Admissions Marketing Specialist assists the VP of Admissions/Student Services with the layout and design of external publications and electronic publications, and serves as the University’s webmaster.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Position requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Proficient with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the University’s webmaster, by personally overseeing the operation and maintenance of the University’s Web site. In addition, adds and/or updates content and design of the University’s Web site.
  • Design and construct web pages/sites including incorporating graphic user interface (GUI) features and other techniques. Maintains and provides ongoing design of the website, promos and ad banners, and seasonal content. Serve as the University’s webmaster, by personally overseeing the operation and maintenance of the University’s Web site. In addition, adds and/or update content and design of the University’s Web site
  • Perform graphic layout and design duties on external and internal publications produced intended for Campbellsville University.
  • Use computer graphic systems to produce graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts. Sets size, color scheme and style to achieve goals set for finished product. Works with admissions, development and all areas of the University to develop communications materials. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

POSITION: Security Officer
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent moral character, courteous, and pleasant mannerisms.
- Must have patience, tact, sound judgment, cheerful disposition.
- Must have integrity, initiative, and be trustworthy and honest.
- Must be neat in appearance; possess a high degree of cleanliness and personal
hygiene.
- Must be willing to cooperate and work with all personnel.

B. Related experience helpful
C. Must have valid drivers license

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Insure the security of students and University faculty/staff as well as campus owned
buildings.
2. Patrol buildings and grounds, removing litter and any unsightly debris.
3. Unlock doors and let students in residence halls after closing hours.
4. Examine doors, windows and gates to determine they are secure.
5. Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering; carrying forbidden articles; and
apprehend or remove persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
6. Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and
secure doors left unlocked.
7. Sound alarm or call fire department in case of fire.
8. Permit authorized persons to enter property. In case of unauthorized persons,
contact local authorities if necessary.
9. Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of
machinery or equipment.
10. Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic on campus to maintain orderly flow.
11. Patrol special events on campus, including sports events, dances, and concerts.
12. Provide students and staff with security escort service as needed.
13. Prepare various reports as needed.
14. Write parking tickets as needed.
15. Assist state and local law enforcement agencies.
16. Call in maintenance personnel as needed.
17. Other duties as assigned.

Faculty Position - School of Nursing

Campbellsville University has an immediate opening for a full time faculty member in the School of Nursing, for the academic year 2008-2009 beginning August 1, 2008. Qualifications are a Master of Science in Nursing or working on/toward a Master of Science in Nursing with coursework in education or teaching preferred. POSITION: Assistant/Associate Professor/Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Dean, School of Education

General Description: The Assistant/Associate Professor/Early Childhood Education Program Co-Coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, staff and administrators in providing management and oversight responsibilities to the early childhood education program. The ECE Assistant/Associate Professor will teach early childhood education courses. Strong instructional and administrative skills are needed for this 10-month position. Doctorate preferred/ Master of Arts in Education required. Also, instructional and administrative work experience in early childhood education required.

Specific Duties:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate early childhood education program activities.
  • Advise early childhood education students.
  • Supervise program admission process and work with the Dean and Education faculty in implementing appropriate formal admission procedures.
  • Monitor student progress in program utilizing approved continuous assessment plan procedures.
  • Supervise student exit from program, preparing appropriate documentation as needed by the School of Education and the University.
  • Analyze reports of student progress and make program improvement recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively in recruiting students and participating in recruitment initiatives.
  • Work with Dean in developing and scheduling course offerings and making recommendations for adjunct faculty.
  • Attend professional meetings of early childhood education educators and maintain a network for information sharing and exchange.
  • Attend Education faculty meetings, retreats, and workshops.

Position: MSW Faculty Vacancy

Faculty Position: Campbellsville University invites applicants to submit for this full-time, tenure track position in a new, developing MSW Program. Rank is open depending on teaching experience and qualifications. This is a 9 month position teaching HBSE, Policy, Practice and other MSW foundation courses. Employment begins August 1, 2008.

Preferred Qualifications: A PhD in Social Work or a related field with an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program and at least two years post-MSW practice experience. Experience teaching HBSE, Policy, Practice and other MSW foundation courses a benefit.

Required Qualifications: ABD in Social Work or a related field (must provide evidence of dissertation defense schedule) with a MSW degree attained from a CSWE-accredited graduate program and at least two years post-MSW practice experience.

Salary:
Commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.
The University: The Carver School of Social Work & Counseling is located on the campus of Campbellsville University in Campbellsville Kentucky. The school has an accredited BSW program that was reaffirmed in January 2006 by the Council on Social Work Education and a Masters in Counseling program that began in 2005. Approximately 100 students are enrolled in various programs provided by the Carver School of Social Work & Counseling. The school is developing an MSW program and the selected applicant will teach in the new MSW program foundation slated to begin in the fall, 2008.
