Objectives
- Sponsor an ongoing lecture series on Christian ethics in leadership and public service.
- Conduct an annual symposium on a major public policy issue confronting the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Work with the University's College of Arts and Science in sponsoring periodic seminars on key public issues that are of particular interest to Christians engaged in the public arena.
- Publish and disseminate the proceedings of select symposia, workshops, and seminars.
- Promote the study of and focus attention on uniquely Baptist perspectives on public and social issues of the day.
- Serve as a mechanism for the University's students to become involved in both academic and experiential treatment of public policy and issues via seminars, internships, lectures, and similar opportunities
- Partner with other higher education institutions, state and federal agencies, and public advocacy/public interest groups to secure internship opportunities for Campbellsville University students - particularly those involved in the social sciences.
- Conduct an annual symposium on an issue and public policy area dealing with international relations and/or national defense.
- Encouragement of civic and political engagement as an ethic for Christian leaders.
- Focus attention on the importance of Christian servant leaders in the pursuit of public policies and the debate of issues.
- Work to secure nationally-recognized speakers in the respective public policy and issue areas that are examined and discussed by the Institute.
