Filing FAFSA before Jan. 15!
Students, this is a reminder to file for FAFSA before Jan. 15, 2014.
State grant funds for Kentucky residents, facilitated through Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), are expected to run out in mid-to-late January 2014, according to Steve Pike, assistant director of financial aid at Campbellsville University.
Pike said the only way students may be considered for state grant funds is to file a FAFSA. The FAFSA is the first step a student can take in preparing a financial plan to fund their higher education.
Pike said, “Our message is that current students and those planning to enroll should file their 2014-2015 FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov by Jan. 15, 2014. Here is a flier

Save the date: Martin Luther King Jr. Service
Campbellsville University's annual Martin Luther King Jr. Service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel. The speaker is Dr. Forrest E. Harris, president of American Baptist College. Everyone is invited to attend. Students in attendance will receive chapel credit.
Want to be a Valentine Pageant contestant?
ATTENTION CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS:
The annual Campbellsville University Valentine Pageant will be on February 7 at 7PM. Any club or organization that wishes to have a candidate needs to email their candidate's name and class to the SGA email at email@example.com The pageant candidate must:
Be able to attend an informational meeting on January 21 at 8 PM in AD 15
Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
Be a sophomore or above (can not be a freshman)
Not be married
Not have held a queen title at CU in the past
Be available for the interview portion of the pageant on Sunday Feb. 2 at 2 PM and a dance rehearsal to follow
Be available for evening rehearsals the week of the pageant.
Pageant categories include: interviews, a dance routine, talent, and an evening gown portion.

*This is a part time position, not workstudy
*Potential consultants must have passed Composition I and II with an A or approved equivalent.
*Pick up an application and faculty recommendation form from the Writing Center Director, Faun Crenshaw, in BASC 201 Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Student Activities Upcoming Events
Monday, January 13th, 10:30a.m.-2:30p.m., Cell Phone Wrap in the Winters Dining Hall.
Students can stop by to have a custom cell phone wrap made for their phones.
Tuesday, January 14th, 4:30-7:00p.m., Tasty Tuesday in the Winters Dining Hall.
A special meal and a banana split bar will be provided for students.
Thursday, January 16th, 7:00p.m., Tournament Thursday in the SAC.
Students can sign-up in the SAC to play in a corn hole, rook, or pool tournament.
