Annual Lunar New Year dinner!
On behalf of CIE & ISA you are invited to the Annual Lunar New Year! CU started celebrating the Lunar New Year last year, and another reunion dinner will be held Jan. 31. This year the dinner is in Elizabethtown for some great food and friendship and a reunion together as a CU family! There is a special price for CU students of $10.50 plus tax and tips at Kingdom Buffet which will include their special menu of all you can eat buffet including crab legs, shrimp, salmon and dumplings. Those of you who need transportation, CIE will have 2 vans for transportation. Everyone should meet at Stapp Hall at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 and depart.

Upcoming student events!
On Sunday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m., in the Winters Dining Hall, students are invited to enjoy free snacks while watching the big game on the large screens. There will be a special meal (wings, meat balls, French fries, tortilla chips and dip) in the Winters Dining Hall on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Wear red on Friday, Feb. 7 in honor of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Day! Send your picture to the Office of University Communications, and we might get it on Facebook!
The 2014 Valentine Pageant will be Friday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Ransdell Chapel. Admission is free to this event
On Monday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. Can You Relate? relationship challenge game will be held in the B.A.S.C. banquet hall. Four couples will compete to see just how well they really know one another and to win amazing prizes! Door prizes will be drawn for members of the audience! Flier is attached.
On Tuesday, Feb. 18 there will be Free Movie Night at Green River Cinema 6 (CU student ID is required for entrance).
Blood drive is Feb. 20
The American Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled for Feb. 20 in the Student Activities Center from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Chapel credit is given for all donors. If anyone would like to make an appointment please call Jennifer Richerson at (270) 789-5155.
Donations being accepted for Costa Rica trip by coaches
At the Campbellsville University/Lindsey Wilson College basketball game this Thursday evening Jan. 30, Jim Hardy has announced that donations of the following for CU coaches to take to Costa Rica will be accepted for use for camps. The items will be left with the people there. This will be a huge help to the people of Costa Rica as they develop sports there and also helps CU in our efforts to minister to those kids while they are there in July.
Football (both youth & adult)
Sleeve of golf balls
Tube of tennis balls
People will be collecting at each entrance.
Steel Band to perform Jan. 30
The Campbellsville University Steel Band, under the direction of Dr. Chad Floyd, assistant professor of music, will present its home concert on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. at The Gheens Recital Hall on the campus of Campbellsville University. The program will be a preview concert of what will be presented at the annual Kentucky Music Educators Association Conference in Louisville on Feb. 7. An assortment of instruments from around the world and various styles will be presented throughout the program. The event is free and everyone is invited.
A nice pair of gloves has been found in the Office of Student Records in the Administration Building. If yours, you can claim there.
