You are invited to the Baptist Heritage Lecture Series Tuesday, March 18

Campbellsville University will be hosting a Baptist Heritage Lecture Series on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Banquet Hall of the Badgett Academic Support Center. Guest speakers are Dr. Bart Barber and Dr. Joe Early Jr. 

Barber is pastor of The First Baptist Church in Farmersville, Texas, a trustee of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and first vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention. He was called to preach at age 11 and was ordained to preach and graduated from Baylor University in 1991. Barber earned his M. Div. from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1996, and continued there to earn a Ph. D. in church history in 2006. 

Early is assistant professor of theology in the School of Theology at Campbellsville University. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in political science from Cumberland College, a master of divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctor of philosophy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of numerous books and articles.

Sexual Awareness Event is Thursday, March 20

A Sexual Awareness Event is scheduled for Thursday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Alumni & Friends Park. This is part of the Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs. It is sponsored by the Offices of Counseling Services and Campus Safety, Social Workers in Touch Can Help (SWITCH) and Adanta Sexual Assault Resource Center. Attached is a flier about the event.

SGA officer applications ready for pick up

SGA officer applications for the 2014-2015 school year are ready for pick up in Montgomery Library. Officer applications are due on March 28th and elections will be held April 8-10 in the Winters Dining Hall.

Money needed for mission trips

Krista Mitchell is raising money for mission trips to the Dominican Republic and China. They will have bake sale booths set up in Winters Diniing Hall from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for anyone who would like to donate.
