'Die Fledermaus' opera to be presented this weekend
The opera workshop will be presenting its annual opera production “DIE FLEDERMAUS” by Johann Strauss
with an English Version by Ruth and Thomas Martin this coming weekend. Performances will be on
Saturday, Nov. 23 at 8 PM, Sunday, Nov. 24 at 3 PM and Monday, Nov. 25 at 8 PM all in The Gheens Recital
Hall. Admission is free and there will be open seating. This presentation by the opera workshop,
directed by Dr. Mark Bradley, is an extremely funny story with beautiful music including many of the famous
Strauss waltzes. You will have the opportunity to hear some of the very best voices both undergraduate and
graduate in the School of Music. Especially if you have never been to an opera, let me encourage you to let
this work be your introduction to the genre. Don’t miss this chance for some outstanding entertainment!!
