Dr. Frank Page to be on campus

CU is hosting Dr. Frank Page, president and chief executive officer of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee, Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. for CU's weekly Chapel Series in the Ransdell Chapel.

Sept. 23-27 is Campus Safety Week

Internet Safety day, September 23rd, 7:00p.m.-8:00p.m. in Administration Buiding (AD 15).
Alcohol Awareness day, September 24th, 6:00p.m.-8:00pm at Stapp Lawn.
CU Alerts Sign-up, September 25th, 11:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Winters Dining Hall.
Women’s Safety Night, September 26th, 7:00p.m.-9:30 p.m. in the Powell Gym.

Almeida Duo has CD for sale

The Almeida Duo will play their home concert on Thursday, Sept. 26 and will release their new CD titled “Amazing Grace.” The group is formed by two CU faculty members, Saulo DeAlmeida and Denis Almeida Santos. They have already performed this CD in Florida, South Korea, Japan and Brazil with audience success. Admission is free to their concert at 8 p.m., and CDs will be available for purchase after the concert for $10.

Jumpstart's 'Read for the Record'

The School of Education will be participating in Jumpstart's "Read for the Record" Wednesday, Oct. 2 in the Beulah Campbell Collection Room. The reading program is for children ages 3-8. "Otis" by Loren Long will be read, and there will be fun activities for the children. There will be three sessions; 15 children are allowed for each session at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Space is limited; contact Tammy Synder at 789-5366 by Tuesday, Oct. 1 if you are interested.
