Planning is well underway for Homecoming 2006. While certain events are still being finalized, the following is a schedule of many of the traditional favorite activities with a few new twists. For additional information, contact the Office of Alumni Relations by calling 800-264-6014 ext. 5211 or by email at alumni@campbellsville.edu. The online schedule for Homecoming 2006 will be updated as additional activities and events are finalized; so remember to check out our website at www.campbellsville.edu as you make your Homecoming plans.
10:00 a.m. – Heritage Day Presentation – Campbellsville Baptist Church. Join Alumni and Friends as we honor the presidents of Campbellsville University. For more information contact Dr. Dwayne Howell at (270) 789-5039.
10:00 a.m. – 1956 Graduates Breakfast – Betty Dobbins Heilman House
Noon – Golden Heritage Luncheon and Reunion of the Class of 1956 – E. BruceHeilman Student Complex, Winters Dining Hall ($10 per person).
All members of the Campbellsville College Class of 1956, as well as members of the Golden Heritage club, are invited to attend the annual Golden Heritage Luncheon.

2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – Campus Tours for Alumni and Friends Student Welcome Center. Student led tours of our beautiful campus begin at the Student Welcome Center and will feature our newly-renovated Montgomery Library, Hawkins Athletic Complex, Indoor Practice Facility. 4:30- 6:00 p.m. – Homecoming BBQ – Lawn of Montgomery Library ($7.00 per person)
This event is truly a fun-filled gathering of the entire university family. The food will be plentiful, the entertainment will be outstanding, and this event promises to be one of the highlights of Homecoming 2006. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations for more information.
6:30-8:30 p.m. Homecoming Banquet- E. BruceHeilman Student Complex, Winters Dining Hall. (Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple). Come and join us as we renew this traditional. All alumni and their families are invited to attend. Come renew friendships and fellowship as we celebrate Campbellsville University’s history. Classes recognized will be 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, and 2001.
7:00 p.m. University Theater Production -- College Theater. Join second year director Starr Garrett as the Department of Theater presents Eleemosynary. For more information or ticket information contact Starr Garrett at (270) 789-5266.
9:00 p.m. – Homecoming Pep Rally - the journey will begin on the Lawn of Montgomery Library and will move to the Tiger Football Stadium. Come and show your pride for the Fighting Tiger Football Team.
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Homecoming Car Show – Lawn of Montgomery Library. The annual Car Show has become an event that you simply cannot miss. As in previous years, participants in the Homecoming Car Show will have an opportunity to take part in the Homecoming Parade. Come see Cars from the 10 decades of Campbellsville University. 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. – Pancake Breakfastand Department Reunions– Heilman Student Center, Winters Dining Hall ($3.00 per person). This event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a great breakfast and terrific fellowship. Come and renew friendships with some of your professors. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations for further information.
10:00 a.m. – Alumni Baseball Reunion – Tiger Baseball Field. Baseball alumni are encouraged to contact Coach Beauford Sanders by calling (270) 789-5056 about attending this annual event. Come and see the 2006-07 baseball team play in an intra-squad scrimmage.
10:00 a.m. – Alumni Art Exhibit – Gosser Fine Arts Center, Gallery. This annual event is a wonderful opportunity for you to experience the artistic gifts and talents of a fellow alumnus.
10:30 a.m. – Carver School of Social Work Alumni Reunion Carver School Office and Classroom. During this reunion a power point of our 10 year history will be presented and alumni encouraged to visit and celebrate the Carvers Schools 10 year contribution toward the development of professional social workers. 10:30 a.m. – Wrestling Practice– Coca Cola ®Indoor Practice Facility. See first hand what goes on during a wrestling practice. With wrestling coach Franky James at the helm, the CU wrestling team is sure to have many exciting matches. Contact Franky James at (270) 789-5148 for more information.
10:30 a.m. – Lady Tiger Basketball Maroon/Gray Scrimmage – Powell Athletic Center. See the 2006-07 women’s basketball team go head to head with each other in an intra-squad scrimmage. 12:00 noon – Homecoming Parade – Downtown Campbellsville. Since the revival of this event the Homecoming Parade has quickly taken its place as a Homecoming highlight. Visit downtown Campbellsville and experience the excitement of an old-fashioned Homecoming parade. If you would like to have an entry in this year’s parade, or simply have questions about the parade, contact Andrew Ward, director of student activities, (270) 789-5161.
12:00 noon – Alumni Volleyball Reunion – Powell Athletic Center. All alumni volleyball players are encouraged to attend this reunion. The reunion will be followed by and alumni game at 1:00 in the Powell Athletic Center. Contact Randy LeBleu at (270) 789-5179 for more information.
12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Homecoming Festival. – Stapp Lawn. After the parade and a little shopping downtown, stroll back to campus and spend some time at the Homecoming Festival. The revival of this event provides a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with friends old and new while supporting Campbellsville University’s many student organizations. There will be plenty of food, games and entertainment. This event is especially great for alumni with young children.

1:45 p.m. - University Chorale Alumni Pre-game Performance. – Tiger Stadium. This annual event has come to be a cherished part of every Homecoming. 2:00 p.m. Homecoming Football Game – Tiger Stadium. The Fighting Tigers, under the direction of head coach Jim Deaton, take on University of the Cumberlands. For ticket information, contact the Office of Athletics at (270) 789-5257.
3:00 p.m. – Tiger Soccer Homecoming Game -- Montgomery-Haydon Soccer Field. Come watch the 2006-07 Tiger Soccer team take on Kentucky Christian University.
