Overview:This is a full-time, first shift position. Work days are Monday through Friday plus 2 late nights of 1-9pm, with a rotating Saturday schedule. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required with a substance abuse certificate (CDCA) within 90 days of hire. Prefer one (1) year of case management experience and group facilitating skills. During the first eight weeks of employment, new hire must complete an internal training and pass a competency test on the electronic clinical documentation software (CATT) and LINX. A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance are required. Computer skills are required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb 3 flights of stairs in a 3-story building. Light lifting (under 20 pounds).

Job Duties in order of importance:
Responsible for a caseload of 15-25 cases. Will need to do case management, individual sessions, and group facilitation. Job also involves some monitoring of client's whereabouts. Caseload includes treatment plans, progress notes, funder required documentation, agency required documentation, and site specific documentation. Person must keep utilization at 51% or above.
• Under close supervision, conducts interviews, administers assessment and screening instruments
• Collects psycho-social data
• Administers instruments to measure client progress
• Prepares and implements individualized client service plans and ensures compliance with applicable standards and agency policy
• Provides educational groups
• Facilitates groups
• Maintains clinical case records
• Attains required utilization
• Visits, monitors and transports clients.
• Follow schedule; follow attendance policies (e.g. is on time for shifts and appointments)
• Be adaptive, flexible, and responsive to the needs of the program; interact with others in an ethically, culturally sensitive and respectful manner; demonstrate professional behavior (e.g. refraining involvement in personal client issues and intimate client relationships)
• Demonstrate appropriate workplace dress and speech.
• Recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate actions
• Handle sensitive contacts with clients, abiding by confidentiality standards.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Counsel clients on sensitive alcohol and other drug dependency issues
• Implement corrective thinking best practices
