Our College of Arts and Sciences combines a strong core curriculum with a diverse selection of degree programs. Over 70% of the professors in this College have terminal degrees in their field. With such highly qualified instructors, students are empowered to immediately start and succeed in the workforce in their chosen field or pursue professional and graduate-level study.
Currently, the College has six main divisions:
Art & Design: The department prepares students for a career in fine art, graphic design, animation and teacher certification in art, with a strong foundation in Christian values.
Humanities: English, Mass Communication, Modern Foreign Languages, and Theater programs emphasize academics and spiritual (Is that the word we want?) service.
Human Performance: The division offers programs in Health and Physical Education, Sports Management, and many other fields.
Mathematics and Computer Science: These academic areas foster lifelong careers in computer science and related academic fields.
Natural Science: BS/BA programs in Biology, Chemistry andEnvironmental Science anda minor inPhysics provide students withthevital knowledge and skills neededfor a career in science.
Social Science: These courses of study foster compassion, democratic principles, and historical context to help improve our society.
In addition, the College of Arts and Sciences offers a Minor in International Studies, University Studies, and an Honors program for students who desire more rigorous coursework.
