Job Description

  • Put your skills to work where communications, politics and public relations intersect. You will:
  • Enhance Humana’s visibility and reputation through well-executed communications that convey Humana’s perspective on critical public policy issues
  • Marry compelling words, memorable images and the latest technology to inform, engage and energize key external and internal audiences in support of Humana’s strategic objectives
  • Develop communications (articles, fact sheets, talking points, presentations, newsletters, collateral pieces, website content, info graphics, videos, etc.) that document the value that Humana brings to the American people and our nation’s health care system Shape a strategic digital and social media presence by managing multiple online channels, tracking results and measuring impact

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism or related fields
  • A gift for writing and editing compelling copy that conveys the essence of complex public policy issues Digital, social media and graphic design aptitude
  • Abundant creativity; strong desire to learn Top-notch organizational and project management skills, plus attention to detail

Role Desirables:

  • Background in health care communications
  •  Experience with social media monitoring tools such as Visible Technologies
  • Experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop and InDesign
  •  Familiarity with website content management systems, including SharePoint
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages Enthusiasm, a “can do” attitude and the ability to work well with others
