MASTER OF SCIENCE IN COUNSELING |
This BSW program, accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, prepares
students with the knowledge and skills to practice generalist level social
work. Upon satisfactory completion of the BSW degree graduates are qualified to
work with agencies that provide home health, mental health, comprehensive
health, child & adult protection, vocational rehabilitation, child and
family services, church social services, family resource services, and case
management in a variety of settings.
The second academic opportunity offered through the Carver School
of Social Work & Counseling is a Master of Science in Counseling (MSC)
Degree. The MSC program was developed to
enhance career opportunities for persons called to counseling individuals,
families, and groups in a variety of occupational venues. The basic generalist
curriculum provides the foundation for this degree but is built upon to prepare
an advanced level graduate who is academically prepared to seek licensure as a
