The Campbellsville University Percussion Ensemble was founded in 1995 under the direction of Dr. David A. Johnson. The ensemble continued to experience growth and success under the direction of Dr. Marty Sharer in 2001 and Dr. Chad Floyd in 2006. The ensemble has grown to an average of 15-20 members, more than doubling in size since its inception.This ensemble provides the opportunity for students to perform both traditional and contemporary works written for large and small percussion ensembles. Music from other cultures around the world is also explored including those from Brazil, Cuba, and Africa.

Meets: TRF 3:00-3:50, Spring Semester
Participation: All percussion majors and minors are required to participate in the spring semester. In addition, any other student with previous percussion experience may participate upon approval from the director.
Performances: One home concert at CU every spring. Other performances take place during the spring percussion ensemble tour, CU Percussion Ensemble Festival, and other events both on or off campus.
