The School of Music is pleased to announce that the new Bachelor of Science in Music - Worship Arts Emphasis is ready for implementation in Spring 2013.  Current Church Music majors should contact Dr. Tony Cunha as soon as possible to discuss options.

BM Music Ed Majors:

• Effective Fall 2012, MUS 341 Music Ed in Middle Schools  and MUS 440 Instrumental Ped & Lit have been discontinued.
  • All music ed students will take MUS 340 Elementary Music Methods.
  • Vocal majors take MUS 342 Secondary Vocal Methods.
  • Instrumental majors take MUS 348 Secondary Instrumental Methods (formerly Instrumental Ped & Lit).
  • Piano majors choose between MUS 342 or MUS 348.
• Effective Fall 2012, the minimum acceptable GPA has been raised from 2.5 to 2.75.

Piano Proficiencies - Spring 2013

All piano proficiencies are at 10:00 a.m. in GC 225.  Sign-up sheets are posted on the School of Music bulletin board about one week in advance.  Contact Dr. Wesley Roberts for more information.

Vocal/Conducting proficiencies are scheduled as needed.  Contact Dr. Mark Bradley for more information. Students may also complete the vocal proficiency by completing Voice Class I or by taking a voice jury.  The conducting proficiency can be satisfied with successful completion of Conducting I.
