Research Interests

My research investigates the ecology of stream fishes.  I  have studied  resource partitioning in benthic fish communities, life history, reproductive biology, benthic stream fish sampling methods, parasites and methods for assessing fecundity.   I am particularly interested in studying spawning and related behaviors as they relate to overall reproductive strategies. Ongoing studies include an assessment of the reproductive biology of the mountain brook lamprey (Ichthyomyzon greeleyi) and descriptive studies of the spawning behaviors of darters (Percidae)  including a study of the spotted darter (Etheostoma maculaum).
