Founded in 1992, the Tiger Marching Band today ranks among the elite of private college marching bands. In additional to performances at all home football games, the band regularly appears as exhibition band at high school marching band contests, parades and in other special events throughout the state. The Concert Band presents a Christmas concert at the end of the fall semester, and two concerts during the spring semester; literature includes masterworks from the standard band repertoire, music from the musical theater, and orchestral transcriptions; no auditions -- open enrollment.

A group of musicians within the School of Music dedicated to the performance of chamber works for wind instruments. The ensemble seeks to provide its members with a quality chamber music experience while offering performances of a crucial body of literature to the university and community. Even though the core instrumentation of the group is harmoniemusik - pairs of oboes, clarinets, bassoons, and horns - the ensemble maintains a flexible instrumentation to accommodate the repertoire.

The Maroon and Gray Pep Bands play for men's and women's home basketball games during the spring semester; the music is fun and the games are exciting. Membership is open to all students.

A select group of the finest wind and percussion instrumentalists from the University and the community who perform primarily grade VI band works; 40-45 members are chosen by audition.

Get into the "swing" of things by auditioning for this fun group, which presents concerts on campus and goes on tour each fall. The Jazz Band made concert tours in Brazil in 1999 and 2002.
