Isaiah House to host ribbon cutting for welding program on October 18By Zac Oakes, Isaiah House PR Assistant

The Isaiah House Treatment Centers in conjunction with the Virginia Ponser Technology Training Center will be hosting a grand opening ceremony on Friday, Oct. 18 to celebrate the launch of the welding classes on the Isaiah House Willisburg Campus.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Mike Mullins Vocational Center, located on the Isaiah House Willisburg Campus.

The Isaiah House Welding Program is a partnership between Campbellsville University and Isaiah House Treatment Centers, providing the opportunity for men to receive job skills training and take classes to become a certified welder. Isaiah House was recently named a satellite location of Campbellsville University by the U.S. Department of Education, the first treatment center in the U.S. to earn such distinction.

“The installation of these new welding stations provides an additional career path for our clients. Upon completion of this program, they will have obtained essential job skills training and will have excellent employment opportunities,” Isaiah House President Mike Cox said. “The ability to gain job training skills and employment is critical to long term success in sobriety. We appreciate our partnership with Campbellsville University to provide these certified welding classes to our clients. We also appreciate the organization that donated $50,000 to purchase the required air filtration and ventilation system for this program. We are deeply indebted to organizations like these who invest and partner with us in saving lives.”

Isaiah House Treatment Center is a residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment program with a Gold Standard of care for men & women. Isaiah House is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and dual-licensed with the state of Kentucky as an Alcohol and Other Drug Entity (AODE), as well as a Behavioral Health Service Organization (BHSO).
