What's at the LEC?
When you are on-site at the LEC, you have the same access to databases as students on the main campus. This means that you don't have to use an off campus password when working with the library databases on LEC computers, either in the lab or in classrooms.
You also have access to an in-house collection of print resources. Those titles are contained in the TIGGER online catalog.
Select "Louisville Center" from the Optional Quick Limit box to search for items in the local LEC collection.
CLICK HERE to go to a LIVE TIGGER SCREEN.
What's the best way to get information for papers and other class assignments?
We strongly suggest that you become acquainted with the alphabetical list of database resources on the Library Database page. We have about 70 databases. Each database contains a wealth of material from articles to image and sound files and more.
Do long lists seem a bit overwhelming? Try a few of the options from the Library Home page:
Find Peer-Reviewed (scholarly sources), Find News, and for e-books, use NetLibrary.
How can I access the databases from home?
Obtain the Montgomery Library User ID and Password from Library Staff, an instructor, or LEC support staff. This is NOT the same as your online class login, or your CU ID. For information about the login process, and advice on computer requirements, see General Information for distance/online Students.
How can I get training or help with the databases?
VIA E-MAIL
Send an e-mail to the general reference address at libraryhelp@campbellsville.edu. This e-mail account is answered during the library working hours for the main campus.
ONLINE TUTORIALS
Many of the databases have tutorials or instructions sheets. Look for a link to the right of the database name on the library Database page. COMING SOON - We will put tutorial links here on the LEC page for some of the most used databases.
IN PERSON
Tell your instructor or the LEC staff that you would be interested in having a librarian from the main campus come visit your class, or come for a bridge day, or workshop event. Sessions can be scheduled with Sandra Riggs, the Electronic Resources Librarian.
Can I check out books from Montgomery Library on the main campus?
Any current, registered student or staff member can check out books. However, we do not have a regular courier service from the LEC to the main campus. You would be completely responsible for retrieval and return.
