Use the TIGGER online catalog to find books
TIGGER includes call numbers for traditional books on the shelf, as well as links to over 54,000 electronic books (E-Books) in the NetLibrary database.
All results in TIGGER, whether electronic or traditional, will show a title, library location, call number and status.
E-Book Entries are easy to pick out. They will always have the Library Location of "E-book" like this example:
Accessing and browsing information and communication [electronic resource] / Ronald E. Rice, Maureen McCreadie, and Shan-Ju L. Chang.
Library Location: E-Books (Campus or Proxy Access Only) Call Number: E-Book Status: No item data available
To access the e-book, you'll have to follow a few steps:
1) Click the title of the book - It will be hyperlinked in TIGGER
2) Scroll to the bottom of the book's record
3) Click "Linked Resources: Connect to resource [opens a new window]"
4) Click "View this Ebook" in the NetLibrary Database
Traditional Book Entries have locations that correspond to areas of the library (see the next section for a list), Library of Congress call number that include a combination of letters and number, and a status of either "Charged" or "Not Charged." Charged indicates that someone else currently has the book. Not Charged indicates that the book should be on the shelf.
Artscience : creativity in the post-Google generation / David Edwards.
Library Location: MAINSTACKS Call Number: BH 301 .C84 E39 2008 Status: Not Charged
