Featured Speakers: Dr. Bart Barber is Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Farmersville, Texas, a Trustee of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and First Vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention. Dr. Barber has been pastor at Farmersville since 1999, after serving pastorates across Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Dr. Barber was born and raised in Lake City, Arkansas. He came to Christ at the age of 5 and was called to preach when he was 11. He was ordained to preach and graduated from Baylor University in 1991. Dr. Barber earned an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1996, and continued there to earn a Ph.D. in church history in 2006. He served as an adjunct professor at Southwestern from 2006-2009. Dr. Barber is married with two children; Dr. Joe Early, Jr., is Assistant Professor of Theology in the School of Theology at Campbellsville University. Dr. Early holds a bachelor’s of science degree in political science from Cumberland College, a master of divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctor of philosophy from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of numerous books and articles. Dr. Early and his wife reside in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
