MISSION
The mission of the Department of Human Performance is to develop students in a Christian atomospere in the disciplines in Health & Physical Education Teacher Education, Sport Leadership and Sport Medicine. Our HP Department has curriculum offerings in three tracks. Our HPETE track offers P-12 teaching certification in Health and Physical Education. Students choosing the Sport Leadership track choose the Sport Management Area program. The third track offered is Sport Medicine with the Pre-Professional Area (Exercise Science). A Fitness and Wellness Specialist Area is being developed with plans for offering fall 2012. Our Minors offered within our Department include: Aquatic Management, Athletic Coaching and Sport Management. The course work required in each of these disciplines will professionally prepare students in their respective fields and to be lifelong learners as servant leaders.
