2008 Tiger Marching Band Schedule

Application Process: 
All prospective members of the TMB should fill out a marching band application.  Once you have completed the application, mail it to:

Performance Grants:
Members of the Tiger Marching Band receive a band performance grant for their participation in the band.  You do not have to be a music major or minor to receive this grant.  You do not have to audition for this grant.  Members receive $1,300 per year for being in the marching band in the fall and the concert/pep band in the spring.

Rehearsal Schedule:
In the fall semester, the TMB rehearses M, T, Th and F from 4:00-5:30pm.  Marching band members cannot take another class that will conflict with these rehearsal times.  Students may sign up for MUE 188 Marching Band for one hour credit.

Performances:
The TMB performs at all home football games and at selected high school competitions throughout the season.  All performances of the TMB are mandatory for all members.  Click here for a schedule for the 2008 season.  Exhibition dates will be determined when the high school competition schedule becomes finalized.

Expenses:
There are no fees or expenses charged to students for band camp.  The University covers all travel expenses for out-of-town performances including charter buses, meals and overnight housing (should the need occur).  There are no equipment or uniform fees for band membership.
