Campbellsville University Scholarships & Grants
At Campbellsville University, the Financial Aid Committee reserves the right to expand, reduce or adjust financial aid programs and funds awarded when necessary to meet Federal, state, or institutional regulation or budget changes. If a student receives a scholarship equal to half-tuition or more, he/she may not be eligible for additional institutional assistance.
Scholarships for First Semester Freshmen
- Academic Scholarships: Academic scholarships are based on ACT or SAT scores and grade point average (GPA) and can be received for four years with required GPA.
- Presidential Excellence (download application)
• Competitive scholarship, open to students who have a 33-36 on ACT / 2170-2400 and 3.5 GPA
• 1 Scholarship up to full tuition, room and board*

- Presidential Scholarship (download application)
• Competitive scholarship, open to students who have a 30-32 on ACT / 1980-2160 and 3.5 GPA
• Up to 5 full tuition scholarships*

- Governor’s Scholar Scholarship (download application)
• Competitive scholarship awarded to students who have participated in the Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program; application is required and will be awarded to students based on GPA, ACT/SAT, and quality and content of essay Minimum GPA of 3.5 and 25 ACT / 1720 SAT

- Statewide Competition Winner eligible for scholarship up to $3,500 per year
- Statewide Competition First Runner-Up ($3,000 per year), Second Runner-Up ($2,500 per year), and Scholastic Winner ($3,500 per year) eligible for scholarship
- County/Regional Scholastic Winner eligible for scholarship up to $3,000 per year
- County/Regional First Runner-Up eligible for scholarship up to $2,500 per year
- County/Regional Second Runner-Up eligible for scholarship up to $2,000 per year
- Each county/regional winner is eligible to receive up to a $3,000 per year scholarship.
- Renewable for up to 3 years if student is eligible for more than one Junior Miss scholarship, student must choose only one
Other Scholarships
- Church Matching Scholarship
- For full-time students, the university will match an amount up to $200 provided by the student's church, fellowship, or assembly, making the total scholaship up to $400

- Christian Service Scholarship
- Renewable annually
- For students whose parent serves in a full-time paid Christian ministerial position
- Scholarship amount: $1,700
- Other Church Related Scholarships
- Christian Vocation Grants, High School Baptist Young Men’s Scholarships, Acteens Scholarship, Women’s Missionary Union Scholarship, Baptist Youth Speakers’ Tournament Scholarships, Missionary Kids’ Scholarships, and Opdyke Scholarships; Many are renewable annually

- KEES Matching
- Renewable annually based upon KEES renewal eligibility
- Student must be a resident of Taylor, Green, Adair, Marion, Casey, LaRue, Hardin, Russell, or Pulaski Counties in Kentucky. Must be eligible to receive the KEES Scholarship and have a minimum 19 ACT / 1340 SAT

- General Association of Baptists in Kentucky Award (download application)
- Selection for this award is based on Christian commitment, demonstrated leadership ability and/or involvement in the student’s home church. Recipients are to come from churches affiliated with the General Association of Baptists in Kentucky. The amount of the award is $2,000 per academic year. This scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years with a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average.
Minority Scholarship Program
The Minority Scholarship Program consists of four purpose-driven funds described below. A minority applicant eligible for assistance from these programs is defined as a person who by reason of past racial or ethnic discrimination, or by reason of educational or economical deprivation is unable to pay the cost of attendance at Campbellsville University without financial assistance.
Scholarship awards are in an amount up to $2,000 per year and are available to first-time freshmen and transfer students. Scholarships may be renewed for up to three years when renewal criteria are met. Recipients may only receive one award.
- General Association of Kentucky Baptist (download application)
- Selection for this award is based on Christian commitment, demonstrated leadership ability and/or involvement in the student’s home church. Recipients are to come from church associated with the General Association of Baptists in Kentucky. The scholarship is renewed with a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
- Minority Teacher Education Scholarship (download application)
- Recipients will be applicants pursuing admission to the Teacher Education Program. First and second year recipients must maintain a 2.8 grade point average. Third year recipients must be accepted into the Teacher Education Program to continue to receive the scholarship. Fourth year recipients must maintain enrollment in the Teacher Education Program and satisfy all requirements to remain in good standing with the program.
- Minority Christian Ministry Scholarship (download application)
- Selection for this award is based upon enrollment in a Christian Ministry major. Preference is given to students pursuing a Christian Studies major, but is not exclusive to those tracks. Applicants must submit a statement of faith, as well as a letter from the student’s pastor stating that he or she has committed to those tracks. The scholarship is renewed with a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
- President’s Minority Leadership Award (download application)
- Recipients of this award must be members of a minority group and personally display outstanding leadership potential. Factors such as academic accomplishment and church involvement are used to gauge a student’s leadership potential. All recipients must be awarded as incoming freshmen. The amount and number of scholarships varies each academic year. This scholarship is renewable provided the student makes satisfactory academic progress each year.

As the Director of Financial Aid puts together each student's financial aid package, these items are taken into consideration.
