Commencement Ceremony
Graduate Level Commencement (for all Master’s degrees candidates) will be held Friday, May 9th at 7:00 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel. Candidates will be hooded at the commencement ceremony.
Undergraduate Level Commencement will be held Saturday, May 10th at 10:00 a.m. on HIG Field at Finley Stadium.
Master's Hooding Ceremony
Candidates will be hooded at the commencement ceremony on Friday, May 9th at
7:00 p.m. at Ransdell Chapel.
Commencement Rehearsal - Undergraduates ONLY
Candidates should attend
the brief rehearsal for commencement at 4:00 p.m. on
Friday, May 9th in the Powell gymnasium. A mock
line-up for the processional and partial walk-through at
Tiger Field are included.
Graduate degree candidates are invited to join President Carter on the Lawn of Montgomery Library for this traditional event at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9th. Participants should be in cap and gown. Participation is encouraged, but optional.
Undergraduate degree candidates are invited to join President Carter on the Lawn of Montgomery Library for this traditional event at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 10th. Participants should be in cap and gown. Participation is encouraged, but optional.
Graduate Picnic
Graduating students (both graduate and undergraduate levels) and
guests are invited to the Graduate Picnic at 5:00 p.m.
on Friday, May 9th on the Montgomery Library lawn. The candidate and three guests may
attend free of charge. Additional tickets may be
purchased for $5.00 each through the Office of
Development 270.789.5211. Sponsored by the CU Alumni
Association.
Student Line-up for Processional
GRADUATE - Candidates not participating in the Graduation Walk should report to the entrance of Ransdell Chapel by 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9th. Staff will
there to help you line up in the proper order.
UNDERGRADUATE - Candidates not participating in the Senior Walk should report to the concourse behind Finley Stadium near the concession stand by 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 10th. Staff will there to help you line up in the proper order.
Caps, Gowns, and Hoods - UPDATED 4/14/2008
Participants are required to wear academic regalia at Commencement. It is customary to wear the gown over casual business attire. Regalia is ordered through the CU Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Candidates should pick up caps, gowns, tassel (and hoods for the Master’s degree candidate) beginning the week of April 16st.

Diplomas
Diplomas are not issued at
graduation, but are mailed upon completion of a final degree
audit of all graduation requirements.
This process begins immediately after the spring semester ends and continues through the summer.
Transcripts
Students who will need transcripts
sent after the posting of final grades and degrees may submit
their signed release in advance. Click on the Transcript Request link (above, left) for more information.
