Three others have received
mass communication scholarship
Crystal Maria Jones Nalley of Lebanon, Ky., and Hillary Camille
Wright, of Springfield, Ky., were each awarded a portion of the yearly
scholarship award for 2008-2009.
The two recipients shared the scholarship because Nalley graduated in
December 2008 and the scholarship is a two-semester award. The
scholarship committee, which consists of the mass communication
department faculty, chose to have two winners so that the $500
scholarship would be awarded both semester.
Nalley graduated with a mass communication degree with an
emphasis in public relations and a minor in marketing. Wright is a
double major in mass communication with a public relations emphasis and
English.
Since graduating, Nalley has been employed as an associate for Energy Insurance Agency in Lebanon.
Wright is a commuter student who works more than 35 hours a
week, and also holds down an internship in the Office of University
Communications. She is the co-president of the Society of Professional
Journalists and is the editor of the Campus Times. Wright is the
daughter of George M. and Elizabeth Coleman-Wright.
Hensley graduated in December 2008 with a major in public relations and
a minor in music. She completed internships at Clark Memorial Hospital
in Jeffersonville, Ind., the Louisville Zoo and the Louisville Metro
City Council. She also was assistant editor of the Campus Times and a
news writer for the Office of University Communication. She is employed
in marketing at Wholesale Hardwood Interiors, Inc., in Campbellsville.
