RN to BSN Students

Registered Nurses, Welcome to Campbellsville University!

Campbellsville University recognizes that as a registered nurse, you have found your calling! At the University, we want to assist you in following that calling and pursuing lifelong learning. The mission of our RN-to-BSN completion program is to offer a higher level of nursing education through an innovative and highly-accessible curriculum. Tailored to the working adult, the program will provide an avenue for the adult learner to further his or her education in a Christian environment. The program serves the community and the region through promoting lifelong learning and contributing to the profession of nursing and the health of society.

By furthering your education, you will develop new awareness of the professional community and new professional skills. This will open doors of opportunity that will benefit you personally, professionally, and as a member of the larger community. Campbellsville University’s new RN-to-BSN completion program allows the registered nurse to continue with work, family and community commitments while pursuing that dream of professional achievement.

Why choose Campbellsville? Campbellsville University has a record of strong, rigorous education standards coupled with a warm, Christian atmosphere. This tradition is carried into our online programs through the creation of caring online communities where students and Faculty can interact at any hour of the day or night. The coursework will be offered online in asynchronous classes—meaning that you will attend on your own schedule, without time constraints. The cost has been made affordable to benefit our students and financial aid is available.

Application Process for RN to BSN Program

Students will have flexibility for entering the Program at different times of the year. Core nursing courses will be offered throughout the year and the student may enter at any point in time by enrolling with the University and with the School of Nursing. As a student for the RN-to-BSN Program, you must supply specific information to enroll in the Program. This information should be submitted at least two weeks before the beginning of any semester in order to process the data and ensure placement into the courses that you select.

Because of the nature of the RN-to-BSN Program, the student must verify work experience as a registered nurse. New graduates may apply if employed at least 20 hours per week as a registered nurse. Class discussion is enriched by the diverse expertise of the students at this level of your education. New graduates who have not yet received their license may also apply, but will take non-nursing courses until the licensure process is completed. (See Curriculum Plan for non-nursing courses associated with this degree.)

The admissions process is as follows:
1. Application to the University
Submit an application to Campbellsville University for admission to the University. This step must be completed even if you have been a student here before, since you must declare a new major: BSN.
