Associate Degree in Nursing

Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)

All applicants to Campbellsville University's Associate Degree Nursing Program must first attend an Pre- Admission Conference. Please contact Jennifer Richerson, Program Secretary to schedule. The Pre- Admission Conferences will be offered on three dates which are as follows: 

  • September 12, 2016  beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST
  • September 20, 2016  beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST
  • September 28, 2016  beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST

During the conference, Applicants will be informed of the requirements for applying and will receive a Nursing Application.  Jennifer Richerson can be reached at 270-789-5155.  Applicants must be officially accepted into the program prior to enrolling in any nursing course. Applicants are considered on the cumulative GPA of prerequisite courses, and the NLN Pre-Admission Examination results. Transfer students will be accepted on a case by case basis.

Application deadline for Spring admission is October 15.

Application deadline for Fall admission is May 15.

The program prepares the graduate to function and practice in a variety of positions and clinical settings. The program’s goal is to graduate competent, qualified, caring and compassionate nurses.

The School of Nursing is a two-year program leading to the Associate Degree in Nursing.

LPN TO RN Bridge Program

 Campbellsville University offers the LPN to RN Bridge Program. Applicants to the program must attend a Pre- Nursing Conference prior to applying to the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Pre-Admission conference dates are as follows:

  • September 8, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST
  • September 17, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST
  • September 21, beginning at  5:00 p.m.  EST

  All LPN's must hold an active LPN license in the State of KY.  All LPN applicants  must have completed the 6 following courses from an accredited College or University  in order to apply:

  • Anatomy & Physiology I
  • Anatomy & Physiology II
  • General Psychology
  • College Algebra
  • Freshman Composition I
  • Medical Microbiology

LPN's will be required to take the NLN pre- entrance exam.  See required testing dates tab for testing information.
