The Office of Student Records provides a variety of services to students including processing of grades, maintaining and issuing of transcripts, helping certify student athletes, preparing degree audits for students nearing graduation, producing student enrollment verifications, recommending teacher certification, certifying students to receive VA education benefits and more.

Degree Verification

To better serve the business community (such as credit grantors, employers, and insurance companies), Campbellsville University is now using the National Student Clearinghouse as our agent to provide verification of our alumni degrees.  They will handle all requests for verifications.  Please visit www.studentclearinghouse.org or contact them at:

Special Announcements

The Campbellsville Univeristy administration has approved a change to its General Education component (or aim) that reduces the number of hours needed from 52 to 44 hours for Bachelors degrees and from 35 to 32 for most Associates degrees. Furthermore, this reduces the minimum number of hours required to earn a four-year degree to 120 and a two-year degree to 60.

Note that some specific degrees require more than the minimum of credit hours.

These changes apply to students using the 2009 - 2011 Bulletin-Catalog as their "program catalog" - the catalog they are using to determine area, major, and/or minor requirements. Policy requires that a student use a single edition of the catalog for all academic requirements.  Students who want to take advantage of the new General Education component by moving to the 2009 - 2011 Bulletin-Catalog as their program catalog, should contact their academic advisors to ensure that it is to their benefit do to so.

About Your Academic Records...

Several factors can impact your academic records.  We have listed several of the more critical factors along with information on what you can do to ensure they are accurately maintained.

Program Changes (Area, Major, Minor)

Keep us informed of changes to your program of study.  When you choose to change your area, major, or minor, follow the steps we've outlined on the "Services" page.  Use the  link at left.

Repeated Courses

Campbellsville University policy says that you can only earn credit for a standard course one time. While it is possible to retake/repeat a course and improve your grade, you cannot earn additional credit hours for a course. Additionally, we have a "last grade counts" policy.  This means that if you repeat a course and earn a lower grade, it will count (and override the previous higher grade).

We strive to keep your transcript accurate.  To do that, we must know when you are retaking/repeating a course, particularly from another school.  Use our Repeated Courses form to report these courses each semester.

Note: There is a special type of course (called "cumulative credit") that can earn hours more than once.
