Health Services

Our campus nurse is on duty Monday through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for consultation, treatment and/or referral of students.  When the campus nurse is not available and a student feels that medical attention is needed, our local urgent care center and local doctors are available to contact.

The following health services are offered by our Office of Health Services:

• Allergy injections
• Diet, nutrition, weight control information
• Community health agencies information and referrals
• Community doctors and clinics information
• Filing insurance claims

All incoming students born in/or after 1957 need to provide a certificate showing current immunization records, especially the MMR status.

All full time students are required to have health insurance coverage.  Each and every subsequent fall semester or at such time that the student enrolls as a full time student, they must either:

• Provide proof of their private health insurance coverage to the Office of Health Services or;
• Choose to enroll in the health insurance coverage the University offers.

The University recognizes and is concerned about the risks students face if they are without health insurance.  The financial and physical burden from an illness or accident could force a student to prematurely end his/her academic career.
