Tiger Pit

The Tiger Pit was founded as part of the   Tiger Marching Band in 1992. This group is comprised of approximately 7-10 music and non-music majors and any student is eligible to audition. Instrumentation includes marimbas, vibraphones, xylophone, bells, timpani, and auxiliary percussion. In addition to the extensive range of sideline instruments, the Tiger Pit receives full-time instruction throughout the season, helping to provide all members with a professional-level experience each year. 

 

Course Number: MUE185-MUE485 (Marching Band) 

 Meets: MTRF 4:00-5:30

 Participation: Any student may audition.

Performances: As a part of the Tiger Marching Band, members will perform at several home football games and an occasional away game in the fall. In addition, members will perform in exhibition at area high school band contests.
