Today students had the opportunity to explore the National Mall including the monuments, museums and memorials. They broke up into smaller groups and toured various spots including the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Mass Communication student Ariel Emberton said, “Visiting the National Mall was an unexplainable experience. Although it’s for a class, I am so excited to be able to study Mass Communication in the media capital of the country. The city provides us with so many opportunities. Today we were able to visit the Smithsonian Museums as well as some of the monuments that make up the National Mall. I can’t wait to see what the rest of our trip includes.”

Students will continue studying various aspects of the D.C. area and mass media in government for the next 9 days before returning to Campbellsville.
