The School of Business, Economics, and Technology at Campbellsville University is proud to offer our inaugural Summer High School Honors Event “Welcome to Robotics – Bot Camp” from June 2 to 7, 2019.

Thirty high achieving high school juniors transitioning into their senior year can pursue their passion and get a taste of college life at CU (please bring sheets, pillows, etc). The week-long experiential learning event will include the creation of an autonomous vehicle and time-trial competition, boarding at the CU dorms, meals, evening events, and a tour of corporations that utilize robotics.  Students will learn to use micro-controllers, an assortment of electronic sensors and actuators, and a basic set of hardware and software controls. Through a series of team based experiential learning activities, attendees will create an autonomous car capable of self-guided as well as controlled navigation. The culmination of this event will include a time-trial competition of each team’s autonomous vehicle’s ability to successfully navigate an obstacle course. Each member of the winning team will be awarded a $100 gift certificate.
