SOCIAL WORKER

Seeking individual to fill position within the McCreary County HANDS Program. Duties include working with women/families and assist with child development, parenting skills, and health services for children through age two. Duties include making home visits according to program protocols. Attend staff meetings and workshops. Keep accurate & up-to-date records as required by Program. Agency networking as necessary to meet program goals. Must be flexible and available to work odd hours; some weekends and/or holidays probable. Possible overnight workshops/meetings. Must provide own transportation. Travel allowance available.
Social Worker requires a Bachelors degree from a college or university with a major in Social Work or Psychology; an individual with a major in Sociology may be considered for this position if the individual has at least one year of experience in case assessment and management. Entry salary $11.40 hourly. Excellent fringe benefits. With offer of hire, employment conditional, pending criminal information check.

LOCAL HEALTH NURSE I
LAKE CUMBERLAND DISTRICT HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Recruiting full time registered nurse to work in the McCreary County HANDS Program. Duties include conducting referral screenings and parent surveys on eligible families interested in participating in the HANDS Program. Provide professional /RN home visits and documentation of visits for participating families. Attend meetings and trainings as required and must be able to collaborate with appropriate local agencies.
Local Health Nurse I must have RN license in Kentucky or compact state or provisional license in KY, meeting all requirement of KRS 314.041, and approval to practice as Registered Nurse Applicant (RNA). No previous nursing practice experience required, but preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of experience. Excellent fringe benefits. Opportunities for growth.
